Morrissey is definitley the Last of the Famous internationally. He is loved by all and hated by many.
The Smiths starting out in the early 80's, Morrissey continued on into the 90's and here we are in 2001 and Morrissey is still as popular as ever. Touching so many hearts, creating music that many ages can love, understand and relate to.
I grew up in the 80's era of New Wave, listening to groups like Depeche Mode, The Smiths, The Cure and Erasure just to name a few. I faded out of that trend and fell into the Grunge scene, forgetting these great artists. It was a friend of mine, an avid Smiths fan who brought this music back into my life.
Morrissey is a great artist who has been and will be followed for decades and loved for eternity.
